Admission: Tours are free and open to all. Reservations for individuals are not required, but advance notice of smaller groups is appreciated. Exhibitions at Houghton Library are free and open to the public – no Harvard ID is necessary to view the exhibitions. 
Houghton Library hours: Monday, Friday, Saturday: 9 AM-5 PM; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 9 AM-7 PM

Public tours of Houghton Library, Harvard's premier repository of rare books and manuscripts, take place every Friday at 2 pm. Attendees receive a general introduction to the library, followed by a tour of the Emily Dickinson, Amy Lowell, and John Keats rooms, as well as the suite devoted to the Donald & Mary Hyde Collection of Dr. Samuel Johnson. Those wishing to take the tour should meet in the Houghton Library lobby.
