Lecture by Emily Schwend RI '17
Join us at the Radcliffe Institute for a lecture by playwright Emily Schwend, who is using her fellowship year to research and write a new play about the archetype of witches through a feminist lens. She will also complete a work-in-progress that examines the tension between a father and daughter and the limits of language in expressing certain truths.
At this lecture, two actors will read two scenes from different plays: “Water Tower (Mile Marker 98)” and “Double Double” (formerly “Why Did You Give Me the Devil?”). There will be a Q&A following the presentation.
