Wheel Intensive - Food for Thought

Course Description: Explore the possiblilities in combining ceramics with the art of food presentation in consultation with Chef and CEO of The Franklin Restaurant Group David DuBois. DuBois will ask students to collaborate with My Father's Delicatessan and Restaurant - a new restaurant in Allston scheduled to open late summer. Focusing primarily on the wheel, this class for intermediate to advanced potters will explore size, form, refinement and surface. Special attention will be given to creating larger vessels and lids, pouring vessels, multiples and executing more sophisticated forms. Class demonstrations will be approximately 35-45 minutes long with the remainder of the class being one-on-one help. (8 classes/10 weeks)

Course Fees:  $115 for Harvard Undergraduate Students, $205 for Harvard Graduate Students, $800 for Adult Community
