What do you do when you feel blue on a lonely night? For Man in Chair the answer is his music, and tonight he’s selected one doozy of a record to share with us: the famed 1920s musical comedy The Drowsy Chaperone. With a cast of characters straight out of the classic theater of the ‘20s – a drunken diva, a Latin lothario, and jovial gangsters posing as pastry chefs, to name a few – a plot as hilarious as it is improbable, show-stopping dancing, and a rollicking score to boot, the show bursts to glorious life in his living room. Join us as, alongside Man in Chair, we laugh, cheer, and discover the truly life-altering power of theater in the uproarious musical comedy, The Drowsy Chaperone.
