The twenty-third 1st Annual Ig Nobel Prize Ceremony will honor ten achievements that first make people laugh, and then make them think. In a gala ceremony at Harvard's Sanders Theatre, 1100 splendidly eccentric spectators will watch the 10 new winners step forward to accept their Prizes. These prizes will be physically handed out by genuinely bemused genuine Nobel laureates.

This year's theme: FORCE. Also featuring: the world premiere of the mini-opera "The Blonsky Device", the Win-a-Date-with-a-Nobel-Laureate Contest, the 24/7 Lectures, and much more.

The Ig Nobel Prizes are organized by the magazine Annals of Improbable Research. () The ceremony is co-sponsored by the Harvard-Radcliffe Society of Physics Students and the Harvard-Radcliffe Science Fiction Association.
