This exhibit of student work features “translations” of research, scholarship, and ideas into graphic representations such as comics, collage, and sequential art. Drawing inspiration from contemporary modes of Islamicate art which play with the boundaries between word and image, this exhibit explores the role of visual arts in academic discourse.
The reception will feature light refreshments and opportunities to create and contribute artwork to this project.
This program is supported in part by the Marshall S. Cogan Visual Arts Fund, through Learning From Performers, Office for the Arts at Harvard.
